MALEVOLENT CREATION Vocalist Gearing Up For 'Death By Decibels' Tour

October 11, 2007

Long-running Florida-based metallers MALEVOLENT CREATION will participate in the Death by Decibels tour alongside VADER, CATTLE DECAPITATION, LIGHT THIS CITY, ABIGAIL WILLIAMS and VEIL OF MAYA. The group's vocalist, Brett Hoffman, has been busy preparing for the tour and offered some insight on how he prepares himself for such a huge endeavor: "I'm gearing up for the Death by Decibels tour by sleeping on my couch, so I can get used to sleeping in a van, and only showering once a week since we'll be lucky to have a hotel room that often. Fans who can bring us blankets, sleeping bags or wet naps will be really appreciated! Also, I will be collecting Christmas gifts to give to my family because I won't able to afford any when I get home. LET THE SLAUGHTERING COMMENCE!"

The Death by Decibels tour will kick off November 17 in Pompton Lakes, New Jersey.

MALEVOLENT CREATION has recruited drummer Fabian Aguirre (SYNAPTICIDE, ex-GRINDCRUSHER, MISTY FATE, ANGEL NEGRO) as the replacement for the recently departed Dave Culross. Handling the bass duties for the group on the road will reportedly be Marco Martell, who has already previously toured with the band.

The band previously stated about Aguirre, "MALEVOLENT CREATION compare this drummer to a Gene Hoglan-type of style and is a brutally fast hard-hitter."

Fan-filmed video footage of MALEVOLENT CREATION performing at this year's Party.San Open Air festival, which took place August 9-11, 2007 in Bad Berka, Germany, can be viewed below.

MALEVOLENT CREATION's new album, "Doomsday X", was released in the U.S. on July 17 via Nuclear Blast Records and in Europe on August 24 via Massacre Records. The CD was recorded and engineered at Mercury Recording Studios in Pompano Beach, Florida by longtime friend and producer (and sometimes session member) Gus Rios, and is said to be the most diverse MALEVOLENT CREATION album recorded to date and "without a doubt their fastest!!" Mick Thomson, guitarist for SLIPKNOT, contributed a "ripping" guitar solo to the song "Deliver My Enemy".
